What To Expect.
Prior to beginning any project we will sit down (free of charge) to discuss your needs. Once we meet you will have a quote and detailed outline of the direction and timeline that the project will take within 48 hours. Our design prices depend on the type of project that is required. Usually we work on a set fee basis. In some cases we do work on an hourly basis in which case our flat hourly rate is $45 per hour.
What Will My New Website Cost?
There are many things to consider when deciding to invest in a new website or update an old one. First among them is your "target audience." What and/or whom are you trying to reach with your website?
There are two major categories that websites fall into these days: static and dynamic.
- Static sites are those that are created by the designer and are updated and maintained using web design software such as Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc. In general the person in charge of updating the site must be well versed in web design software in order to keep from "messing up" the site design. In the short term static sites cost less but can be just as effective as a dynamic site if they are maintained properly.
- Dynamic sites are those where the content and design live separately. The content lives in a database that is placed on a webpage only when needed or asked. The benefit of this is that it allows for quicker page loading and it allows just about anyone, with limited or no web design experience, to update their own website via an administrative backend. This set up is ideal for those who wish to make frequent changes to their websites including text and image updates. Dynamic sites are also great for image galleries, online calendars or e-commerce. In the short term dynamic sites cost a bit more but in the long term they save money because you will not have to pay a designer web maintenance fees.

Costs: Static vs. Dynamic
Whether static or dynamic there is a concept phase involved in web design. This is when the overall design layout, color pallette and design foundation are created. This process usually costs $400-$800 depending on the scope of the project. After the concept design is approved there is a flat per page fee applied to each page created. In the short term dynamic pages cost a bit more because of the database development involved. All dynamic sites include an administrator backend in which the site owner can login and update their site via KTML online word processor.
